frequently asked questions

What can I expect at the event this year?

We have made the decision to continue our 2021 Farm to Table event in a “to-go” format to ensure the health and safety of our patrons and volunteers.  Tote bags are available in DIY Meal or Food & Drink options.  Click the Food & Drink tab above to learn more.  Guests can drive up to the Gateway Center and pick up their tote bag to enjoy at home.  Each ticket option includes one tote bag, which will feed two adults.  There will be additional outdoor event experiences including live music by Rob Schwartz, Grimm & Gorly Florist & Gifts will have their Flower Cart featuring fresh flowers and more, the always popular Wine Toss game of chance will be onsite for you to try and win a bottle of wine, and you can pick up tote add-ons including ice cream from Prairie Farms and non-alcoholic beverages from Excel Bottling.  Mobile bidding will be utilized for an online Silent Auction with donated items from local businesses.

What time does it start/end?

You can pick up your tote bag(s) and enjoy the onsite event experiences from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, August 26th, 2021.

What do I wear?

Normally, business casual or cocktail attire is appropriate.  This year, anything goes, but we do ask that all unvaccinated guests wear a mask.

How do I get there?

The event is located at the Gateway Center (1 Gateway Drive, in Collinsville, IL).

How do I pick up my tote bag?

If you choose to drive-thru and pick up your tote bag, you can turn into the East entrance and follow the drive to the front of the building. Turn right into the circle drive and pull up under the canopy.  We will have volunteers available to take your name and then return to your vehicle with your tote bag!

If you choose to walk up and enjoy event experiences before taking your tote bag home, turn into the East entrance, park in the parking lot, and walk up to the canopy.

Do I need a paper ticket to get my tote bag?

No paper tickets are necessary, as we use an electronic registration system to check in guests by name.  If you have purchased tickets for multiple people, please contact mandie.ernst@cancer.org to let us know the names of the guests that will also be picking up tote bags.

How do I pay if I win a silent auction item or want to make a donation?

The auction is completely online with credit card payment.  We will also be able to accept credit card payment during pick-up for additional donations and the wine toss game of chance.

Can tickets be purchased at the door?

Last year was a sell-out event!  Please contact mandie.ernst@cancer.org to confirm closer to the event if there are any tickets still available to be purchased at the door.

Do you need to be 21 to participate?

Normally, our in-person event includes wine, liquor and beer tastings so all guests must be 21.  This year, due to the to-go format, our tote bags will not include alcoholic beverages so anyone can purchase!

How do I see what items will be included in the silent auction?

Check out our auction page here or click the auction button above to view all of the packages.

I have a friend that wants to support the event, but can't make it that night.  What can he/she do?

General donations can be made on this website by clicking the "Get Tickets" button and making a donation online.

Will I get a receipt for my tax records?

An email confirmation of donation may be used as a receipt for online donations, including ticket sales and auction items.

How will my donation be used?

Farm to Table donations will support the mission of the American Cancer Society by funding research, providing public education about prevention and early detection, advocating for cancer policies and federal, state and local legislation, and providing patient services such as rides to treatment, free lodging, emotional support and much more.

I purchased tickets, but cannot attend anymore.  Can I get a refund?

All sales are final.
